The xTool M2 10W Standalone is an enclosed desktop laser engraving and cutting machine designed for makers, creators, educators, and small businesses that need a safer and more automated laser workflow. With a 10W blue-light diode laser module, dual-camera positioning system, built-in air pump, and compact enclosed structure, it provides a practical platform for engraving, cutting, personalization, and craft production.

The 10W module is suitable for detailed engraving and light cutting on compatible materials such as wood, leather, paper, bamboo, corrugated cardboard, selected acrylic, stone, black aluminum oxide surfaces, and thin metal sheet marking. Its fine laser spot helps create clean details for names, logos, decorative artwork, tags, signs, packaging, and personalized gifts.

As the Standalone version, this model focuses on laser engraving and cutting with the 10W module. The xTool M2 platform can also be expanded with optional accessories such as the CMYK Inkjet Module, 3W Infrared Module, RA3 Lite rotary attachment, smoke purifier, and fire safety accessories depending on the user’s workflow.

10W Laser Engraving and Cutting

The xTool M2 10W module is designed for laser engraving and light cutting applications. It provides enough power for everyday maker and small business projects while maintaining a fine laser spot for detailed engraving work.

The 0.06 × 0.04 mm spot size helps improve energy concentration and detail quality, making it suitable for small text, line art, logos, decorative patterns, and personalized designs.

Enclosed Desktop Design

Unlike open-frame laser engravers, the xTool M2 is built with an enclosed structure and protective cover. This helps create a cleaner and more controlled working environment for laser projects, especially in homes, classrooms, studios, and small workshops.

The machine is classified as a Class 1 laser device under normal operating conditions, with internal safety protection designed to stop operation if the lid is opened or the baseplate is removed during processing.

Dual-Camera Positioning

The M2 uses distant-view and close-view cameras for positioning and preview. This allows users to place artwork more accurately on the material before starting a job, reducing alignment mistakes and improving workflow efficiency.

This is especially useful when engraving on small blanks, irregular shapes, pre-cut materials, tags, packaging, and personalized items where placement accuracy matters.

Built-In Air Pump

The machine includes a built-in air pump, so a separate air assist system is not required for standard use. Airflow can help reduce smoke buildup, improve cutting quality, and minimize surface staining when working with suitable materials.

For better cutting results, proper material support, masking, air settings, and ventilation should still be used.

xTool Studio Workflow

The xTool M2 works with xTool Studio software on Windows and macOS. The software supports common vector and image file formats, making it suitable for preparing engraving layouts, cutting paths, image engravings, and personalized product designs.

The machine supports USB and Wi-Fi communication for flexible setup in different workspaces.

Expandable M2 Platform

The Standalone version comes positioned around the 10W laser workflow, but the M2 platform supports selected optional accessories. Users can expand the machine with accessories such as the xTool RA3 Lite rotary attachment for cylindrical and spherical engraving, the M2 CMYK Inkjet Module for color printing workflows, and the M2 3W Infrared Module for fine metal and plastic surface marking.

Accessory compatibility should be checked before purchase, as the M2 does not support every xTool accessory.

Safety and Material Notes

Laser processing should always be done with proper supervision, ventilation, and fire safety precautions. Avoid processing PVC, vinyl containing PVC, highly reflective metals, mirror-finish metal, unoxidized aluminum, copper, and mirror-finish stainless steel, as these can create safety risks or damage the machine.

Material compatibility and cutting performance depend on laser power, material thickness, color, surface finish, focus, air pump settings, and software parameters.

Important Compatibility Notes

The xTool M2 does not support the riser base, conveyor feeder, or honeycomb panel. It is compatible with the slats of xTool M1 Ultra. Accessories not listed as compatible for M2 should not be assumed to work with this machine.
