The Bambu Lab Toolhead Board for X2D is an original replacement electronic control board designed specifically for the Bambu Lab X2D toolhead.
Also referred to as the TH Board, the DLB064 controls important extrusion-related functions including filament feeding, unloading, retraction, and hotend temperature regulation. It forms a central part of the X2D toolhead electronics and works together with the printer's other toolhead boards, sensors, extruders, and hotend assemblies.
It is suitable for replacing a confirmed faulty or physically damaged original Toolhead Board during X2D repair or maintenance.
Original Bambu Lab replacement Toolhead Board
Part number DLB064
Designed specifically for Bambu Lab X2D
Controls filament feeding and unloading functions
Supports filament retraction control
Supports hotend temperature regulation
Central electronic component within the X2D toolhead
Includes four BT2×5 mounting screws
The X2D toolhead contains several motors, sensors, heaters, and interface boards that need to operate together during printing.
The DLB064 Toolhead Board coordinates important functions associated with filament extrusion and hotend operation.
Its functions include control related to:
Filament feeding
Filament withdrawal / unloading
Retraction
Hotend temperature adjustment
Extrusion-system operation
Reliable operation of this board is therefore important for normal X2D printing and filament-change workflows.
During printing, the extruder must deliver filament to the hotend at a controlled rate.
The Toolhead Board forms part of the electronic system responsible for managing this extrusion process.
A fault affecting this area may contribute to symptoms such as:
Filament not feeding correctly
Extruder not responding
Loading or unloading failures
Abnormal retraction behavior
Toolhead-related error messages
These symptoms can also originate from other components, so proper diagnosis is important before replacing the board.
The X2D performs automatic filament loading and unloading during normal operation and compatible material-management workflows.
DLB064 supports the associated toolhead actions required to move filament into and out of the extrusion system.
This is particularly important during:
Initial filament loading
Filament replacement
Material changes
Automatic unloading
Retraction operations
The Toolhead Board also forms part of the system responsible for hotend temperature control.
Stable temperature regulation is essential for:
Correct filament melting
Consistent extrusion
Reliable layer bonding
Preventing abnormal temperature conditions
Maintaining the selected filament profile
If the printer reports heating-related toolhead faults, the heating assemblies, wiring, connectors, temperature sensors, connection boards, and Toolhead Board may all need to be checked before identifying the failed component.
The DLB064 is designed around the electrical architecture of the Bambu Lab X2D.
Its:
PCB layout
Connector arrangement
Mounting points
Firmware integration
Toolhead interfaces
are intended specifically for the X2D.
Toolhead boards from other Bambu Lab printer models should not be assumed to be interchangeable.
The X2D toolhead uses several different circuit boards.
Toolhead Board – DLB064
Main toolhead control board
Controls extrusion-related functions
Supports filament feed, unload, retraction, and temperature regulation
Hotend Heating Assembly Connection Board – DLB065
Provides interfaces for components including the extruder, filament sensor board, eddy-current coils, and front toolhead components
Extruder Connection Board – DLB066
Separate interface board used within the X2D extrusion system
These components perform different functions and should not be confused when ordering replacement parts.
Replacement may be appropriate when troubleshooting confirms problems such as:
Physically damaged Toolhead Board
Burnt or damaged PCB components
Broken connector sockets
Persistent extrusion-control faults
Filament loading or unloading faults traced to the board
Hotend-control faults traced to the board
Electrical damage following toolhead servicing
The Toolhead Board should normally be replaced only after checking the associated wiring and connected components.

1 × Bambu Lab Toolhead Board for X2D – DLB064
4 × BT2×5 Screws
Switch off the printer and disconnect it from mains power before servicing the toolhead.
During replacement:
Allow the hotend to cool completely
Remove the required toolhead covers
Record or photograph the original connector positions
Disconnect connectors by holding the connector housing
Do not pull directly on the wires
Avoid touching PCB contacts unnecessarily
Install the replacement board in the correct orientation
Secure it using the supplied BT2×5 screws
Reconnect every plug completely
Check that no wires are trapped or pinched
Reassemble the toolhead before restoring power
Follow the official Bambu Lab X2D service procedure when replacing the Toolhead Board.
A toolhead or extrusion error does not automatically mean that DLB064 has failed.
Similar symptoms may also be caused by:
Loose connectors
Damaged cables
Extruder faults
Hotend heating assembly faults
Hotend Heating Assembly Connection Board faults
Extruder Connection Board faults
Filament sensor problems
Toolhead wiring damage
Other toolhead electronic components
Diagnose the complete toolhead circuit before replacing the board.
This product includes the X2D Toolhead Board DLB064 and its mounting screws only.
