The Anycubic Nozzle Hotend Kit for Kobra S1 Series is a complete replacement hotend assembly designed for the Anycubic Kobra S1 and Kobra S1 Combo.
The integrated assembly combines the nozzle, heating components, and temperature sensing required to melt filament and maintain accurate extrusion temperature during printing. Its quick-release design allows the complete hotend to be removed from the toolhead without lengthy disassembly, making routine maintenance and nozzle changes easier.
Designed for temperatures up to 320°C, the Kobra S1 hotend supports a wide range of common and engineering filaments when paired with the appropriate nozzle material and printer settings.
Original-style replacement hotend for Anycubic Kobra S1 Series
Compatible with Kobra S1 and Kobra S1 Combo
Integrated nozzle, heater, and thermistor assembly
Tool-free quick-release hotend design
Maximum hotend temperature up to 320°C
Available with different nozzle diameters
Brass and hardened-steel nozzle options depending on variant
Suitable for maintenance, repair, and nozzle-size changes
The Kobra S1 uses an integrated hotend design that combines the nozzle and heating section into a compact replaceable assembly.
The hotend performs three main functions:
Heating filament to the required extrusion temperature
Measuring hotend temperature through the thermistor
Extruding molten filament through the nozzle
Combining these components into one replaceable unit simplifies servicing compared with rebuilding the heater block, nozzle, and temperature sensor individually.
The Kobra S1 hotend uses a quick-release mechanism.
After removing the required printhead cover, the locking mechanism can be released and the complete hotend removed from the toolhead.
This makes it easier to:
Replace a worn nozzle
Recover from severe clogs
Change nozzle diameter
Replace a damaged heating assembly
Keep spare hotends ready for maintenance
The Kobra S1 hotend supports temperatures up to:
320°C
The higher temperature capability allows the printer to work with a wider range of materials than basic low-temperature PLA-only hotends.
Actual filament compatibility also depends on:
Nozzle material
Printer enclosure
Bed temperature
Filament profile
Material drying
Extruder configuration
Always follow the recommended temperature range for the selected filament.
Anycubic offers Kobra S1 hotends in several nozzle diameters.
| Nozzle Diameter | Typical Application |
|---|---|
| 0.25mm | Fine detail and small features |
| 0.4mm | General-purpose printing |
| 0.6mm | Faster printing and stronger parts |
| 0.8mm | High-flow printing and large models |
The standard Kobra S1 is supplied with a 0.4mm hotend.
Different nozzle sizes require appropriate slicer settings for line width, layer height, flow, and print speed.
Anycubic currently lists all-metal brass hotends for the Kobra S1 in:
0.25mm
0.4mm
Brass provides good thermal conductivity and is suitable for common non-abrasive materials such as:
PLA
PETG
ABS
ASA
TPU
Other compatible standard filaments
For more wear-resistant applications, Anycubic offers all-metal hardened-steel hotends in:
0.4mm
0.6mm
0.8mm
Hardened steel is better suited to abrasive materials such as compatible:
PLA-CF
PETG-CF
Other carbon-fiber-filled filaments
Selected reinforced composite filaments
Always confirm that the complete printer and filament profile are suitable for the selected engineering material.
This hotend kit includes the components required for heating and temperature monitoring within the hotend assembly.
The heater raises the nozzle to the selected printing temperature, while the thermistor provides temperature feedback to the printer.
Correct temperature feedback is important for:
Stable extrusion
Material flow consistency
Safe heater operation
Accurate filament melting
Reliable print quality
Replacing the complete hotend may be appropriate when experiencing problems such as:
Severe nozzle clog
Damaged nozzle
Hotend not heating
Unstable temperature readings
Thermistor fault
Heater fault
Filament leakage around the hotend
Physical damage following a failed print
Correct diagnosis should be performed before replacement because similar symptoms may also originate from wiring, connectors, the toolhead board, or extrusion system.

1 × Anycubic Kobra S1 Hotend Assembly
1 × Nozzle
1 × Heater
1 × Thermistor
The exact nozzle diameter and nozzle material depend on the selected product variant.
Allow the hotend to cool completely before removal.
Before replacement:
Switch off the printer
Disconnect mains power
Remove the required toolhead cover
Release the hotend locking mechanism
Disconnect the heater and thermistor connections carefully
Remove the existing hotend
Install the replacement assembly fully into position
Secure the quick-release mechanism
Reconnect all electrical connections
Reinstall the toolhead cover
Confirm stable temperature readings before printing
After changing nozzle diameter, update the nozzle size in the printer and slicer profile before starting a print.
A hotend-related error does not always indicate that the complete hotend needs replacement.
Similar symptoms can be caused by:
Loose electrical connectors
Damaged wiring
Extruder problems
Incorrect filament settings
Toolhead PCB faults
Filament contamination
Incorrectly installed hotend
Inspect the complete extrusion and heating system before replacing components.
Select the required nozzle diameter and material according to the intended application.
For normal PLA, PETG, and other non-abrasive materials, the brass version provides excellent thermal performance. For frequent printing with carbon-fiber-filled or other abrasive filaments, choose a compatible hardened-steel hotend to reduce nozzle wear.
