The Bambu Lab Hardened Steel Hotend is a replacement and upgrade hotend designed for compatible Bambu Lab P1 and X1 Series 3D printers. It is suitable for users who print abrasive or filled filaments and need better nozzle wear resistance than standard stainless steel options.
Hardened steel is especially important when printing materials that contain carbon fiber, glass fiber, metal particles, wood particles, rock particles, or other abrasive additives. These materials can wear standard nozzles over time, leading to inconsistent extrusion, reduced detail quality, and inaccurate printed dimensions.
With Bambu Lab’s integrated hotend design, the nozzle, throat, heater block, and heatsink are combined into one assembly. This helps simplify replacement, improves maintenance convenience, and reduces the risk of leakage between the nozzle and heat break interface.

Please confirm the correct P1 Series or X1 Series version before purchase. Complete hotend assemblies may use different connectors depending on the printer model, while the selected nozzle size should also match the intended filament and print profile.
After installing a different nozzle size, update the nozzle size in the printer and slicer settings before printing. For carbon fiber, glass fiber, metal-filled, wood-filled, or glow-type materials, use a hardened steel nozzle and suitable print settings to reduce wear and clogging.
