More info

The BEST FC300-2.2G-S2-B3F Variable Frequency Drive is designed for controlling the speed and operation of compatible three-phase AC motors and high-speed CNC spindle motors from a single-phase 220V power supply.

With a 2.2kW power rating, single-phase 220V input, three-phase 220V output, and output frequency capability up to 1000Hz, the FC300 is particularly suitable for CNC routers, engraving machines, woodworking machines, spindle systems, and other variable-speed motor applications.

The programmable VFD allows users to control spindle speed, acceleration, deceleration, rotation direction, and operating frequency while also providing important protection functions for the motor and drive system.

Key Features

  • BEST FC300 Series variable frequency drive

  • 2.2kW rated power

  • Single-phase 220V AC input

  • Three-phase 220V AC output

  • Rated output current approximately 11A

  • Output frequency adjustable up to 1000Hz

  • Suitable for high-speed CNC spindle motors

  • Programmable acceleration, deceleration, speed, and motor control functions

Single-Phase 220V Input to Three-Phase Output

The FC300-2.2G-S2 allows a compatible three-phase 220V motor or spindle to operate from a single-phase 220V AC power supply.

This is particularly useful for CNC workshops and machines installed in locations where standard single-phase 220V electricity is available but the spindle requires three-phase variable-frequency power.

The VFD output must only be connected to a compatible three-phase motor or spindle.

Designed for CNC Spindle Control

The FC300 Series is commonly used for controlling high-speed spindle motors installed on:

  • CNC routers

  • CNC engraving machines

  • Woodworking CNC machines

  • Advertising CNC routers

  • Milling and carving equipment

  • Custom CNC systems

By changing the output frequency, the VFD controls spindle speed according to the requirements of the cutting tool, material, and machining operation.

Output Frequency up to 1000Hz

The FC300 provides a wide adjustable frequency range suitable for conventional motors as well as high-frequency CNC spindle applications.

An output frequency of up to 1000Hz provides flexibility for compatible high-speed spindle motors.

The maximum frequency should always be configured according to the spindle or motor nameplate. Never operate a motor above its rated frequency or speed.

Adjustable Speed Control

Motor speed can be controlled using the VFD control panel or through compatible external control signals depending on the machine setup.

The FC300 supports programmable frequency control for applications where spindle speed needs to change according to different materials, cutters, or machining operations.

External speed control can also be integrated with compatible CNC controller systems.

Adjustable Acceleration and Deceleration

Acceleration and deceleration times can be programmed through the VFD.

Controlled acceleration helps reduce sudden mechanical and electrical stress when the spindle starts, while controlled deceleration provides smoother stopping behavior.

These settings should be configured according to the spindle, machine mechanics, and application.

Forward and Reverse Rotation

The VFD supports motor rotation control, allowing compatible motors to operate in forward or reverse direction when correctly configured.

For CNC spindle applications, always confirm the required spindle rotation direction before installing the cutting tool and starting machining.

External CNC Control

The FC300 can be integrated with compatible CNC motion controllers, breakout boards, PLC systems, and control circuits.

Depending on the controller and wiring configuration, external functions can include:

  • Spindle start and stop

  • Forward and reverse control

  • Variable speed control

  • 0–10V frequency control

  • External switch control

  • Machine automation signals

Correct wiring and parameter configuration are required for external control.

Built-In Motor Protection Functions

The FC300 Series includes protection functions designed to help protect the VFD and connected motor under abnormal operating conditions.

Protection functions include monitoring for conditions such as:

  • Overcurrent

  • Overvoltage

  • Undervoltage

  • Overload

  • Overheating

  • Output faults

  • Motor operating abnormalities

Protection functions do not replace correct electrical installation, grounding, circuit protection, or proper VFD configuration.

Cooling for Continuous Operation

The VFD uses active fan cooling to remove heat generated during operation.

Install the inverter in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated location with sufficient clearance around the cooling openings. Avoid installing it where heavy wood dust, metal particles, moisture, or excessive heat can enter the unit.

Compatibility

Suitable for compatible three-phase 220V AC motors and spindle motors within the VFD's voltage, current, frequency, and power capability.

Before installation, confirm the motor or spindle nameplate specifications including:

  • Rated voltage

  • Rated current

  • Rated power

  • Rated frequency

Important Installation Note

The VFD output terminals must be connected directly to the compatible three-phase motor or spindle. Do not install normal switches, contactors, or circuit breakers between the VFD output and motor for routine switching while the VFD is operating.

The VFD parameters must be configured according to the connected spindle or motor before operation. Incorrect voltage, current, base frequency, maximum frequency, acceleration, or motor parameters can damage the spindle, motor, or VFD.

Safety Note

This product operates with hazardous mains voltage. Installation, wiring, grounding, and commissioning should be performed by a person familiar with VFD and industrial electrical systems.

Disconnect mains power and allow sufficient time for the internal DC bus capacitors to discharge before touching wiring terminals or servicing the unit.
